The Paulding County 911 and Paulding County Emergency Management announce that the county has contracted with Emergency Communications Network to license its CodeRED high-speed notification solution and CodeRED Weather Warning System.
The CodeRED system provides county officials the ability to quickly deliver messages to all of Paulding County and select target areas. CodeRED Weather Warnings provide targeted notification of the approach of severe weather such as tornado warnings, severe thunderstorm warnings and flash flood warnings.
“If your phone number is not in the database, you will not be called,” said David Mumford, Paulding County 911 Director, “No one should automatically assume his or her phone number is included.”
One of the reasons the CodeRED system was selected was the featured option to individuals and businesses to add their own phone numbers directly into the system’s database. Mumford said such systems are only as good as the telephone number database supporting them.
All individuals and businesses need to log onto the Paulding County website, go to the 911 page under the Government heading, and follow the link to the CodeRED Community Notification Enrollment page. The Paulding County Emergency Management’s operating business times are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Paulding residents will be required to furnish information, including first and last name, street address, not a P.O. box, city, state, zip code, and a primary phone number.
